In what cases can I apply for a temporary passport?
- A temporary passport is issued:
- to persons residing outside the Republic of Poland for the duration of waiting to receive a passport;
- persons from whom fingerprinting is physically impossible, and this obstacle is temporary;
- in cases of emergency:
- for return to the place of permanent residence,
- related to illness,
- related to illness or funeral of a family member,
- related to professional activities,
- related to the fulfillment of compulsory education by persons without legal capacity or with limited legal capacity who are under 18 years of age, with the development of their individual skills, or if it is necessary to provide care for these persons in the situation referred to in letter d;
The passport authority may require the submission of documents confirming the occurrence of the circumstances referred to above.
