Invitations
You may apply for an invitation to be entered in the invitation register if:
- you are a Polish citizen living in Poland or a citizen of a member state of the European Union, a member state of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) – a party to the agreement on the European Economic Area, i.e.: Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein or the Swiss Confederation, or a member of their family, living in Poland and having the right of residence or the right of permanent residence in this territory,
- you are a foreigner residing legally and uninterruptedly for at least 5 years in Poland immediately prior to submitting the application, or holding a permanent residence permit or a long-term resident’s EU residence permit,
- you represent a legal person or an organizational unit without legal personality, having its seat on the territory of the Republic of Poland; when the inviter is a legal person, the application is submitted by a person authorized to incur civil-law liabilities indicated in the National Court Register.
An invitation for a foreigner issued upon application for entry of an invitation into the invitation register is not a document authorizing the foreigner to take up employment in the Republic of Poland. The procedure for entry of an invitation into the invitation register is not appropriate if the purpose of the stay in the Republic of Poland is to perform work.
The inviter is obliged to cover the costs associated with the foreigner’s stay in Poland. If the inviter has not fulfilled its obligations under the issued invitation, e.g. to cover the costs related to the foreigner’s stay, the State Treasury or other entities may pursue their claims against the inviter.
Natural person
- Application in 1 copy, completed in accordance with the instructions.
- Documents confirming the possibility of covering the costs associated with the foreigner’s stay, including the costs of accommodation and food, covering the costs of return travel to the country of origin or residence, or the costs of transit to a third country that will grant entry.
You may attach your choice of:
- a current bank statement with information on the ending balance in this account (if you attach a bank statement, the account balance should cover the entire period of the invitation – PLN 515 for each month of the planned period of stay of the foreigner for yourself and each dependent family member of the inviter and for each invited foreigner during this period),
- a certificate confirming employment with information on monthly remuneration and type of contract concluded (financial resources in the amount of PLN 515 should be presented for oneself and each dependent family member of the inviting foreigner and for each invited foreigner in this period),
- a decision on the valorization of a pension or annuity in the amount of PLN 515 with respect to oneself, each dependent family member of the inviter and for each invited foreigner during this period.
In case of covering the above costs jointly with a spouse, a written consent of the spouse to cover the costs should be submitted together with documents confirming the spouse’s financial resources.
The cost of the invited foreigner’s return trip to the country of origin or residence is:
- pLN 200 in the case of a return trip to a country neighboring Poland,
- pLN 500 in the case of a return trip to a European country,
- pLN 2,500 in the case of travel to a non-European third country.
- A document confirming the legal title to the dwelling in which the invited Foreigner is to live, such as:
- the title deed to the premises or a current extract from the register of land and mortgage registers (if only the title deed to the plot of land is attached to the case file, a confirmation that the building has been put into use or a decision on the assessment of real estate tax should additionally be attached),
- allotment of cooperative premises,
- lease agreement of a communal apartment,
- in the case of providing a lease agreement for other than municipal premises, the landlord’s legal title to the premises should be attached, as well as his consent to the foreigner’s residence in the above premises,
- the possibility of providing the foreigner with residence in another place (e.g., a hotel reservation. The hotel reservation should include information on who is booking the hotel, for whom and for what period)
- Confirmation of payment of stamp duty.
- Copy of identity card or travel document and residence card.
Natural person conducting business activity
- Application in 1 copy, completed in accordance with the instructions.
- Documents confirming the ability to cover the costs associated with the foreigner’s stay, including the costs of accommodation and food, covering the costs of return travel to the country of origin or residence, or the costs of transit to a third country that will grant permission for entry, e.g:
- the most recent settlement with the tax office regarding earned income(in the case of monthly settlements) or a copy of the current annual PIT with proof of sending to the tax office – original for review,
- a current bank statement with information on the ending balance in the account. The amount of funds in the account is required as for individuals.
- A document confirming the legal title to the dwelling in which the Foreigner is to reside, such as:
- title deed to the premises or a current extract from the land register,
- allocation of cooperative premises,
- lease agreement for communal premises,
- in the case of providing a lease agreement for premises other than municipal premises, the landlord’s legal title to the premises and his consent to the foreigner’s residence should be attached,
- or the possibility of providing the foreigner with residence in another place (e.g., a hotel reservation. The hotel reservation should state who is booking the hotel, for whom and for what period),
- in the case of providing a hotel reservation, it is necessary to additionally provide the financial means specified in the reservation to finance the foreigner’s stay in the hotel.
- Confirmation of payment of stamp duty.
Legal entity
- Application in 1 copy, completed in accordance with the instructions.
- Documents confirming the ability to cover the costs associated with the foreigner’s stay, including the cost of accommodation and food, covering the cost of return travel to the country of origin or residence or the cost of transit to a third country that will grant entry permission, e.g:
- a current statement of the bank account of the legal entity with information on the ending balance in this account (the required monthly amount of PLN 515 for each month of the planned stay and funds to enable the return trip of the invited foreigner to the country of origin ),
- CIT – 8 for the previous year with confirmation of sending to the Tax Office.
- Document confirming the legal title to the dwelling in which the Foreigner is to reside, e.g.:
- title deed, allotment of cooperative premises, lease agreement,
- hotel reservation (the hotel reservation should contain information on who is booking the hotel, for whom and for what period).
In the case of providing a hotel reservation, it is additionally necessary to provide the financial means specified in the reservation to finance the foreigner’s stay in the hotel - Confirmation of payment of stamp duty.
Association
- Application in 1 copy, completed in accordance with the instructions.
- Documents confirming the ability to cover the costs associated with the foreigner’s stay, including the cost of accommodation and food, covering the cost of return travel to the country of origin or residence or the cost of transit to a third country that will grant entry permission, e.g:
- a current statement of the association’s bank account with information on the ending balance in this account (required monthly amount of PLN 515 for each month of the foreigner’s planned stay).
- Document confirming the legal title to the dwelling in which the Foreigner is to reside e.g.:
- title deed, allotment of cooperative premises, lease agreement,
- hotel reservation (the hotel reservation should contain information on who is booking the hotel, for whom and for what period).
- A copy of the current extract from the register of associations. Confirmation of payment of stamp duty.
