Permit for residence of a long-term EU resident
The permit applies to a foreigner who has been legally and continuously residing in the territory of the Republic of Poland for at least 5 years immediately prior to the application for this permit and meets all of the following conditions:
Not every stay is counted in the 5-year period and not every stay is counted in its entirety. E.g., for the calculation of the 5-year stay we will take into account only half of the period during which you stayed in Poland on the basis of:
- a visa issued for the purpose of first-cycle studies, second-cycle studies or uniform master’s studies in Poland, or training at a doctoral school,
- a visa issued for the purpose of vocational training in Poland,
Documents needed for granting the permit:
- confirming that you had a stable and regular income in the 3 years immediately prior to your application and that you have such income now
- current employment contract/commission
- if you are running a business or a company – documents confirming current income earned from your business/company
- tax returns for the last 3 years immediately preceding the submission of the application, together with confirmation of their submission to the Tax Office
- all contracts under which you worked during this period
- certificates of employment
- you may also submit other documents confirming your income, we will check them individually
- health insurance,
a document confirming your knowledge of the Polish language (e.g. official certificate of proficiency in Polish at a level of at least B1, certificate of graduation from a school or university with Polish as the language of instruction in Poland, or certificate of graduation from a school or university with Polish as the language of instruction abroad).
