About the department
The scope of operations of the Department of Civil Affairs and Foreigners includes matters related to passport service, residence and work of foreigners in the territory of the Republic of Poland, Polish citizenship, supervision of local government units in the field of civil affairs.
The Department has a Plenipotentiary of the Governor for National and Ethnic Minorities.
The Department has a Plenipotentiary of the Governor for the legalization of the stay of foreigners in scientific units on the territory of the province of Łódź.
