In the case of filing an application for renewal of a foreigner’s work permit, the entity delegating work to a foreigner shall pay half of the above amounts, respectively.

* Relief in the fee for issuing or replacing the residence card is available to foreigners:
who are in a difficult financial situation;
whose purpose of stay is to study at a post-secondary school and college in the territory of the Republic of Poland;
minors who are under 16 years of age on the date of application for the issuance or replacement of a residence card or document.

Passport fees

In the Passport Branch in Lodz, Piotrkow Trybunalski, Sieradz and Skierniewice the passport fee can be paid only by payment card

On the last working day of the year, the cash desk is closed.

It is not possible to make payment by credit card at the cash desk.

1. The amount of the fee for a passport is PLN 140.

2. The amount of the fee for the second passport referred to in Article 46 of the Law is PLN 280.

3. The amount of the fee for a temporary passport is PLN 30.

4. The amount of the reduced passport fee is:

1) for minors under 12 years of age – PLN 30;

2) for persons between the ages of 12 and 18 – PLN 70;

3) for minors under 12 years of age with a valid Large Family Card – PLN 15;

4) for pupils and students up to the age of 25 and children with a moderate or severe degree of disability regardless of their age, holding a valid Large Family Card – PLN 35.

5) for parents and their spouses, as well as foster parents or persons running a family child care home, holding a valid Large Family Card – PLN 70

6) for other persons – PLN 70, ie:

– pupils and students between the ages of 18 and 26;

– pensioners within the meaning of Article 4, points 1 and 11 of the Act of December 17, 1998 on pensions from the Social Insurance Fund (Journal of Laws of 2021, item 291, as amended2)), as well as their spouses who are their sole dependents;

– persons with an established right to a social pension under the Social Pension Act of June 27, 2003 (Journal of Laws of 2022, item 240);

– persons with disabilities within the meaning of the provisions of the Act of August 27, 1997 on vocational and social rehabilitation and employment of disabled persons (Journal of Laws of 2021, item 573 and 1981), as well as their spouses who are their sole dependents;

– persons:

(a) residing in nursing homes or care facilities, or

(b) receiving social assistance in the form of permanent benefits

– under the provisions of the Social Welfare Act of March 12, 2004 (Journal of Laws of 2021, items 2268 and 2270, and of 2022, items 1 and 66);

– persons receiving a special care allowance, nursing benefit or guardian’s benefit, granted under the provisions of the Act of November 28, 2003 on family benefits (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 111 and of 2021, items 1162, 1981, 2105 and 2270) or the Act of April 4, 2014 on the establishment and payment of guardian’s benefit (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 1297);

– veterans and other persons to whom the provisions of the Act of January 24, 1991 on veterans and certain persons who are victims of wartime and post-war repressions (Journal of Laws of 2021, item 1858) apply;

– persons who have the status of anti-communist opposition activists or persons repressed for political reasons granted under the Act of March 20, 2015 on anti-communist opposition activists and persons repressed for political reasons (Journal of Laws of 2021, item 1255);

– persons who:

(a) performed work after 1956 for political organizations and trade unions, illegal as defined by the regulations in force until April 1989,

(b) did not perform work before July 31, 1990 as a result of political repression,

c) were deprived of the opportunity to practice their profession before July 31, 1990 as a result of political repression for their actions in support of Poland’s independence and sovereignty or respect for political human rights in Poland

– to whom the Head of the Office for War Veterans and Victims of Repression confirmed these periods by decisions issued on the basis of Article 117 paragraph 4 of the Act of December 17, 1998 on pensions from the Social Insurance Fund;

– to soldiers performing territorial military service;

– firefighters rescuing volunteer firefighters and persons who have been granted a rescue benefit under the Act of December 17, 2021 on volunteer firefighters (Journal of Laws, item 2490);

– volunteers serving in entities authorized to perform mountain rescue;

– to aggrieved veterans within the meaning of Article 3 of the Act of August 19, 2011 on veterans of activities outside the state borders (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 2055);

The reduced passport fee shall not apply to second passports issued pursuant to Article 46.

No fee shall be charged for a passport issued to:

1) persons who are at least 70 years of age on the date of application for a passport;

2) persons referred to in Article 21 (1) (7), if their departure abroad is for long-term medical treatment or in connection with the need to undergo surgery;

3) persons who have applied for replacement of a passport due to its erroneous personalization or technical defect as determined by the passport authority;

4) persons who applied for a passport before the expiration date of their existing passport, in connection with the removal of inconsistencies, pursuant to Article 11 of the Law of September 24, 2010 on Population Registration (Journal of Laws of 2021, Item 510, 1000, 1641 and 1978, and of 2022, Item 350), with regard to the data referred to in Article 12 (1)(1)(a-g);

5) soldiers assigned or assigned to serve outside the country, except for professional soldiers;

6) persons who have a final court decision to annul the decision of the passport authority to refuse to issue or cancel the passport document.

Exemption from the passport fee shall not apply to second passports issued under Article 46 of the Law.
